Hi, if I've a multilanguage site for selling something (eg. cars), every user has the possibility to add detail field and a general description field.

Now, regarding the description field which is the best solution:

1) Give to the user to update/insert a Description for each languages.

Pro: The user can manage the description for all languages. If they are populated I've pages with the specific content language

Contro: I've the real possibility that for some languages the Item doesn't have the Descrition populated if it is not entered by the users.

2)The users will update/insert only one Descriptions for a specific language (based on the login language page).

Pro: In this case I've all the page with the Descriptions

Contro: On a Eng page I should have Ita Description

3) the scenario 2 but using a JS to traslate with Google Traslator the content

Pro: all the pages will have for the end user an automatic traslator page

Contro: maybe Google continue to read in a wrong language (no JS are executed).

Which is the best approach in the case?

Moving around in many portals I've noticed that they are using for simplicity the option (2)

Regards Enzo

Evaluating the pros and cons of two options, the second is the best ... But you could put a notice on the translation that allows you to see the translation and, if not satisfactory, will correct
