I manage the SEO project of a very important online sport journal. The CMS is recently optimized for SEO and the ranking on search engines is very good, but unfortunately the site isn't ranked on Google News. I have added all news in the XML sitemap for Google News and pages are indexed but not present at the first news results. Someone experienced with the SEO for Google News? |

There are two factors very important for optimize your site for Google News. The first is the relevance of the content of the news in the web page. If the text of the article is little or the page have many others content (comments, other news snippet ..) you should modify the structure of your pages to improve the relevance of the article content. More webmaster ignore an important point of the Google News XML sitemap protocol:
The XML sitemap mustn't contain all URLs of the news published in your site, but only the articles published in the last two days. |
